Here is our draft Good Food Lewisham Three Year Action Plan available to download.
Thank you to everyone who has inputted into the plan over the past several months.
We would really appreciate it if you could take some time to read through the action plan and let us know what you think using this form: https://forms.office.com/e/kgQFtMfqp9.
The action plan covers the six required areas set out by Sustainable Food Places framework to achieve our aim of becoming a diverse and lively community that connects people to healthy, sustainable and affordable food that is grown, produced and prepared locally to promote a vibrant food culture and prospering local economy.
It's been put together from:
Your responses to the Good Food Movement survey (127 responses which includes 41 community groups)
Discussions from three quarterly network meetings (approximately 120 attendances) from September 2023 - March 2024
Engaging with groups who are under-represented in survey results
Ideas from the staff team, volunteers and Steering Group
The survey identified the following top five priorities:
More support for growing locally by reducing allotment waiting times and identifying new growing areas
Food procurement to support sustainable local food provision
Tackling the climate emergency by supporting locally grown and sourced seasonal food
Supporting food growing in schools
More action on food waste
These will be our priority actions within the plan.
If you'd prefer to send us an email or give us a call to discuss your feedback please email helen@lewishamlocal.com.
Please respond by 9am Monday 13th May at the latest. We are aiming to launch the finalised action plan by June 2024.
Thank you in advance for your time.
